If you had your choice of any hunting crossbow - which would it be?

I would go with my Mission Sub 1 again. Plenty fast with 450 gr. arrow/broadhead combo. Plus the safest decocking. After 2 seasons it's been perfect!!!

That's what I also like about the Sub1 is I can re-string and change everything myself without a bow press. very easy to do!!

I have the Darton and it's fine. But something a little easier to de-cock and to do maintenance on would be worth looking at. Provided it's made in the states of course.

Scorpyd Aculeus Crossbow
By far the best crossbow I've owned. I did, however, just sell mine as I am planning to buy their new bow when it comes out in the near future.

I've owned 6 different Scorpyd crossbows and I don't think I'll own anything else. The materials they use to build their bows are as good as it gets.

Excalibur all the way. bought a Center point cp400 this year it exploded after about 30 shots. had to get the reliable Excalibur back out and get the job done.
