Ice conditions
Ice still looks and is great.
Just a FYI: I drove Jefferson down to Det today. After 7 mile all open water. I wlaked on the ice around 9 mile. I was able to see open water and where I couldn't see if there was ice or not I saw lots of water birds landing? <water> . Also the shore ice at the tip of Emerald city and the South shore entrance of Jefferson Beach has open holes, where the ice folded up and went back out.
Just a heads up to watch the winds, not stop fishing . The lake is no longer locked up . There is enough water to drift.

I was on the lake at Fair Haven yesterday out about 1 1/2 miles straight south of the DNR ramp and had at least 18" of good ice I caught 6 little dinks and put them back to grow with instructions for them to grow up and come see me again.LOL
I could not see any open water but that can change in a hurry. I drove out in my van but I think I'm going to start walking out again soon.
