Anyone know how thick the ice is? Going by the 15hr ice calculation we aren't going to be making any ice until this weekend where SE MI temps should add a couple of inches to the lakes that aren't insulated by snow.

I wouldn't count on it being much. I checked the boat launch and it looked scary.

There is a posted pic on the Irish Hills thread (page 193) showing guys and shantys fishing right next to the open water.

No difference in ice really since last weekend. Sandy beach had good ice but only out to a certain point. There is no parking there, people used to park up the street but if you do that now you will be towed.
