Went out Q see today. On the way back in we found ourselves getting a bath. The ice right where the bay changed over to river/cut (main part of chanel) had sunk 18 - 24" and was water. I was on a snowmobile which had a pro and a con. Pro was I was able to power thru and get out of it, con was I didn't think I could stop in time to take a better look at what was going on with the ice. Was only doing 15-20 mph. Glad I wasn't on a quad. Also was riding 2 up. You can NEVER take what you think is good conditions for granted. Things change with in a few hours.

Did you launch right near the river? Was going to head out of Finn Road today, you're scaring us about your launch site so I can avoid it

Thanks for posting! ! Wow.. u wouldnt think that would be an issue this time of year with conditions... but u r right. . It can change at anytime!! Im assuming u came out of the river launch and out to bay ..?. which I havent done since last year but good to know.. !

Where is qsee???

Quanicassee is located in the SE end of the bay. Qsee is easier to say and spell.

Yes, we launched out at the boat launch up the Q river.
