Last friday my best dog duce got hurt. He picked up a nasty thorn in his pad and I had to take him to the vet to get it removed.

I spent my whole vacation hunting with out him, Major bummer :(

To say I was upset was an understatment.

So I decided to do something about it.

Monday my buddy Jim and I drove 12 hours out to Massachutsetts and picked up some pups directly out of Duces Sire and Grand Sire. Then we turned around and drove home.

33 hour trip and 2 hours of sleep. To say the least we were tired.

But I have two brand new pups at home directly out of Striker and Wookie.

My wife thinks I'm a little crazy for driving out there.

But if these dogs turn out to be like Duce it was well worth it.

He probably isn't missing much this weekend. Over here its 55 degrees on January 2, pretty weird. Its January, its supposed to be 15 degrees and we should have some snow. What an odd winter.

I'll make it out there for a spring trial if you guy's have one.

I can't give up a weekend of hunting to go to a trial.

I still have 113 rabbits to go LOL:p
