Anybody on the site shot a Hoyt Gamemaster. I looked at one the other day but ive heard from a couple different places and got different opions on the bow. Some say its a great bow but others say it alittle noise.
I'm curios as well. Like the Hoyt, and also like the Reflex Nomad (another Hoyt). I know these bows may be looked on as suspect by some in the traditional world but I'd be curious to know folks opinions.
I had a Gamemaster for a couple years. I liked the small grip and it was a good performer. The draw weight was heavier than it was marked, about 5lbs. From what I have read from others its quite common. It was noisier that any other recurve I have owned but a new string and some rubber cat wiskers and limb savers quieted it down pretty good.
I wouldnt hesitate to buy another.
I shot one before and its ok. Kinda loud for my tastes, even with whiskers.
I went to the Traditional Expo in K-Zoo a few years ago, looking to try out a few bows. After numerous shots with numerous bows, including the Hoyt, I cam home with a Chekmate recurve. I highly recommend them. And they really hit hard!
