That's a tough question for sure. I've seen some real dandy sized 1 1/2 year old bucks. Genetics and food in the right combination can do wonders.

Just wondering because any 1.5 yo I have shot were always about 100-110 or so dressed. So I am assume maybe 2.5yo.

Both deer were were from Nov. One in the beginning and one at the end.

I have shot several 1-1/2 year old bucks in the past that went 140-145. I shot a big bodied 9pt. this year that was just shy of 150Ibs. dressed out and he was aged at 1-1/2 but I questioned it.

Then again I shot a 10pt. a few years ago with my bow that was a low 130's and he only weighed in at 142Ibs.

The processor that I take my deer to have told me many times that genetics play a big role in the weight of the deer and age does not mean as much until the reach 3-1/2 on up.

FYI
The 150lb'er was a 4 point and the 140lb'er was a small 7 point.

Previously 2 spikes were around 110 lbs. Definitely 1.5 yo.
