My brother has 60 acres. He has about 200 red oak that are actually the Pin Oak variety, that he wants to sell. They have diameters 16 to 24 inches. I know these trees do not have the same high value as good Red Oak. Does anyone know someone that would be interested in these Pin Oaks , or have any idea on the market value?

The land is in mid-Michigan, Saginaw county.
Thanks!

It really depends heavily on the area he's in and the current market value. At times different regions can be as much as twice the market value of other regions. Right now the UP has better tree prices than the lower. Call your Local conservation district. They should be able to put you in touch with some local foresters. I would reccomend at least 5 qoutes and 7-10 if you have the time. Just off the top of my head I remember prices in the range of 3-400 per thousand board feet. A board foot is 12 X 12 X1.
