How long is the surf good for steelhead, 2 weeks or till ice. Is it the same for pier fishing. Thanks for the info.

......and that lasts longer than you'll want to fish it. Not much beats wading into the waves, getting hit by spray, and having icicles hanging off you when you get back to the beach! brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! But it is worth it when the rod starts to jump!
