my boyfriend is going to go gun hunting for deer. i am going to go with him and make it a vacation. no, i will NOT be hunting. we'll be hitting the local bars in the evening so that will be enough to keep me somewhat entertained. does anyone know of any good places to hunt in the houghton lake area (state land)?

Near Houghton lake area??? well you stay at a very good park there at the reedsburg and it is very good hutning there...you dont have to even drive to go hunting
fishingirl: Put it this way, it'd be better to stay in Macomb Co. and hunt. That's all we're trying to say. There are a ton and I mean a ton of people who hunt on state land in that area and there are less deer than hunters.....especially bucks.
