There was a thread recently about shooting deer in the head. It's not a shot I'll take and after what I saw on Monday, if it's a shot you take, please reconsider. We were plugging on the Manistee, having a good day, when my partner and I looked over on the bank and there stood a 4 point with a golf ball size hole in it's head right where the jaws connect. It's tongue and lower jaw were hanging down and the deer was looking pretty sorry. I know there are thousand of whitetails in the woods right now suffering from other misplaced shots, but one look at that deer would make anyone reconsider a head shot. I very easily could of took a picture of the animal and posted it but we don't need that. Just something to think about. Riverman
