Has anyone used any of these new Gulp Baits that are on the market. Was doing a little readin on these and was wondering if they worked through the ice.They have maggots and larvae and corn. HMMMMMMM.

I was watching a fishing show, not ice fishing, where the host was telling how great the bait was but when he caught his next fish he was using a live leech????? I never saw him bait up with any of it after that for the whole show. I do not have any experience with it so I cant say if it is good or bad.

Iv'e tryed using artificial bait when the fish were biting good and the live bait still outfished artificials, when fishing panfish anyway .

North Shore- Have tried the Power Baits Maggies with mixed results. On a hot bite, they will work alone. If the fish are nuetral to negative, I've found that one powerbait then a real Waxworm or two will do the trick. I suspect that the Gulp will perform the same or better. I'm looking forward to trying the Gulp worms on harnesses, bottombouncing for 'Eyes- The Power Bait natural Crawlers work really good. The trash fish and panfish don't destroy the bait ! I have a good freind that fishes alot, and he's a good fisherman. The last time I talked with him he told me he has not used any live bait this winter and still outfihes anyone he goes with, He's been using the gulp and some of the new plastics. Kinda gotta make a beleiver even for the doubters.

Personaly I prefer to not gulp my bait,I usualy have a much easier time chewing it slowly and savoring the flavors of it then swallowing.This way I also dont get heart burn and indijestion.
I also signed up for the free gulp bait sample.I very seldom pass up an opurtunity for free food.

I've been using the berkley power grubs to tip my ice fly. It seemed to make a difference. At first the fish just touched the fly then blew it away. After putting a part of a grub on the fish inhaled it.

As for using them on a tear drop. I would have to say stay with the live bait!!!
