Do you think the dnr should try planting grayling again in michigan streams? There has to be streams in this state that will meet the requirments for grayling to survive. Most states are reintroducing species into ranges that they once occupied.why not make a push for grayling in michigan even if they had to plant fish for a put and take fishery every year. i personaly would love to see this happen.anybody else have any thoughts?

Personally I would like to see it on a small scale somewhere on an experimental basis. It would probably have to be in a catch and release only area, otherwise they would probably get wiped out again.

I know of a river in Antrim county that was planted with grayling a few years ago. I have not heard of anyone catching them yet. Word is, it was unsuccessful.

Michigan rivers are too warm for their survival. Lack of trees on rivers to keep them shaded and cool.
