Can Clethodim be sprayed on Purple Top Turnip & Radish safely to kill off all the grasses? With all of the recent rain; the grasses are overtaking my plots. Thanks in advance for the feedback....

Not sure if you were asking me or Hartland Hunter L&O, but I have planted brassicas as early as July 4th weekend many times here in the U.P. I like to get at least 60 days growth on them before average first frost date which is mid-September here, so I want the seed in/on the ground by mid-July. For southern lower Michigan - early to mid-August is probably fine.

We don't have any rain in the forecast for quite a while here but as soon as I get some moisture in the ground I will be planting brassicas. Radish, especially seem to benefit from a longer growing season.

They grow long season (100+ days) "Swedes" (Rutabagas). I keep saying that I am going to try them (along with radish) one of these years....just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Always amazes me what deer eat when in different areas. My purple top turnips do not get touched until after the season is over. January-february
