Decided to head up to the White above Hesperia on Sunday to get one more try before it closes. Got there around 4 in the afternoon and the river was low and clear but the sky was overcast so I figured I might do okay especially since there was no sign of any vehicles around. Nailed a number of browns in the 8 to 12 inch range and then came to a hole that in the past I have felt should hold a good fish but never took one over 12 inches. Switched to a bead head leech pattern and dropped it in the current. At first I thought I had hung up on bottom until bottom moved. After some hassle he surrendered to my 5 wt. The fish I thought that should be there was. The color of that brown was really nice. I would post the picture but it was too many bytes to upload.
