Went and did alittle rabbit hunting and scouting for next deer season out on the State Land and ended up with one out of the two I saw. Which was pretty good since three guys running dogs had just worked it with no rabbits.
Also saw over 30 deer and only made out two bucks in the group, both on the small side. Did see one thing that kind of puzzled me though, one of the deer runs I came across had spots of blood every 40 yards or so. It looked to me as if a doe was still in heat. Also came across two dead button bucks with their hind ends cut up and one looked as if it were just dropped off there due to the fresh quad tracks that led up to it.

But all in all it was a nice day to be in the woods.

Sounds like you had a great time but make sure and call DNR hot line and turn in poachers.

The blood most likly was from a shed. You can go back and find it by backtracking if you hurry before the snow

It was like alot of blood in one 6" dia. like a piss spot and that would be it until the next spot that was about 40 yards away.
