Anyone been targeting them. Thinking about a run down Friday. Got the day off of work... Looking for a change of scenery?

The Huron Ohio area has been about the closest steady bite with some big girls being caught. Perch fished out of Sterling today then looked around for some marks but they were few and far between for the eyes. Some eyes are still being taken North of West Sister but the shorts out number the keeper (16-20inch fish ) about 10 to 1.

I'll be heading out tomorrow. Will be running around looking for eyes. But will bring the perch gear for a back up. Will let you know.
Water TEMP was 69.9 today out to 25ft deep. Need it to drop to the mid 50s and breakout the DHJ12.s

Typically this time of year, the bigger girls ( unless you really want to head way further east) can be found out at the Canadian line but still Ohio water almost straight north of vermillion. Deep clear water and pull your salmon stuff as you should hit both. Orange ladder back used to be our best color over the years.

We caught nice walleye along with the slimers

Well walleye fishing was tough to say the least. Pulled crawlers for two hour with nothing but unders and a couple big cats to show for it.

But on the plus side the perch fishing made up for it. Brought home around 25 a man over eight inches.
