DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS ABOUT ? IS IT STATE WIDE OR ALL THE STATES THAT THE STORES ARE IN. IS THERE A COST FOR THE EVENT?

Usually their showdowns are posted on their websites, but the only listed there right now for michigan is a smelt showdown:

I'd check with the G.M. store where you saw the flyer at. It's probably just a local thing in that area.

I saw an ad for it in Saturdays Grand Rapids Press the week before last, but it wasn't in last Saturdays paper. Not sure if it's statewide or how long it lasts. Might want to give them a call.
