Furled leaders?

Toddfather, what are these? What do you use them for if not everything and how do I make them?

One tip with furled leaders. Use a loop to loop system to put on the tippit. Take #3 tippit about 1-2 feet and tie loop to loop to the furled leader then tie on what ever tippit your going to use to the #3 tippit. THis will make your furled leader last alot longer. If you order them don't go through Orvis we ordered ours two months ago and they are still on back order.
