I turned on the furnace today. I swear 35 degree rain sucks heat out of a building quicker than 25 degree snow.

Just got done building the first fire of the year in the wood stove. Chilly for sure. Today sure felt like deer season with the cold and changing colors!

Had to laugh at my group texts with my property neighbors last week. These texts are 3 days apart. Jackson co.

Just took the dog out to pee, and swore I saw snowflakes in the spotlight.

You hit the nail on the head. I'll take 25 degrees on a crisp winter day over upper 30s/low 40s and rain. That cold rain chills you to the bone!

We are expecting frost tonight. Bonnie has stripped the garden in preparation.

It has froze at least 3 times here. Tonight is going to be harder. All the corn fields are dead and brown. Choppers are running 24 hours a day. Went and checked on my deer tonight and all the bucks are gone that time of year
Heavy frost in Mason county, says 32 degrees. The lake is steaming!

Whitetail season, and ice fishing will be kick ass this year. I wonder how fall steelhead will be.
