Found item left at launch just before dark Sunday night. There was a lot going on there with several vehicles, state police, tow trucks etc. Message me what was left and I’ll get it back to you.

Place has been a cluster since they built a toll station and manned it. And of course following Thornapples example the road had to be paved. Add the liveries domination of the launch , and it gets worse.

People from other cultures used to camp back in there and behaved. No idea where they go now. Doubt they enjoy it as much. Not what the site is for apparently.

Used to be boulders to keep vehicles from driving back in there.

I've ran across campers in the last millennium downstream towards the Rollway Park , after crossing the creek.

I used to ride my bike to the rollway park to get water for the homemade cistern well, before we left the stone age back in '72

We've tramped some same ground then.
I've a beer bottle somewhere from below and above the high rollway.
Couple creeks and crossings.
The high spot by the first had a time worn hearth. Often attended. And once someone had a fire below the last. Which was not common.

I quit visiting the launch area pretty much after the D.N.R. set up and manned a toll booth.
No improvement for disabled access downstream but hey pay us for the privilege of being here? Nah thanks.

When multi national folks camped below there was little trouble. Obviously more witnesses to trouble makers that way.
But they were discouraged out of there too when it became a money grab.
So where was the DNR when your fenders were stolen? Counting the money somewhere else after dark?

The locals used to "Patrol" the launches at night. Anything there then would be taken, robbed or destroyed, or beaten.

The water was way low the other day before the limited rain the last couple days.

I haven't seen any beds at the RollWay, Croton or Newaygo.

Bridgeton was way low and weed infested like Newaygo. Hard to find a spot to cast a bait to...
