It was on Hubbard. The "cribs" are all over the lake. And there's a bunch of them. I rented a cabin there last summer, and the locals said that the cribs were a great place for smallies.
We found the walleyes either on the botton in 30 feet of water. (needed 4oz. bottom bouncers and harnesses. Or, they were suspended about 15 feet down. Planars, and lighter bottom bouncers pulling harnesses worked well. If you go to deep route, you really need a braided line. Also, the water on Hubbard is really clear.
