Been driving my shany around and hoping for almost a month......finally it gets cold!! But that thought has to be tempered by the fact that this is Michigan and it could be 60 degrees next week, all we can do is hope this is it.
Walked on 3'' this morning on a small pond. Have a report of 3 inches on a small lake, heading there now with bait Going no deeper than 5ft of water of course,
Yeah, I got ice fever too, and this weather is making it worse. I'll be stopping by my spot on my way to work today just to look things over. The little bay I fish has4-6fow, so I might creep out with a spud and check it out.
there were a few guys standing on the ice at 11 mile road behind the library. to soon for me but won't be long.
Keep in mind if you see 40 degree's in the weather report. It's not a big thing. The high's only last a few hrs. this is the time of year that we have more (ice freezing) night hrs. that day hrs.
I think we have had more ice this year so far compared to the same time last year
. ps. The whole west side of LSC had skim ice about 200 yrds out.
