I went to the class once maybe 8 years ago? I think it's helpful overall. Hopefully they're keeping up to date with the current methods and strategies that are working. It's good to see how other people are fishing and what strategies they might employ.
I did it 6 or 7 years ago and found it helpful. Have thought about going again as a refresher and see if any new tactics have been added. I've rarely regretting spending money on knowledge.
The wife and I did Russell Gahagan's salmon school twice. It was fun meeting new people and it included a free ticket to the ultimate sport show in Grand Rapids. The first time he gave away a bunch of salmon candy freebies. The second time we went he had Lenny Vaughan from slipknot charters with him. Lots of cool info and stories well worth the $ imo. We might try Keating's in the future.
Back in the day I have gone to some, and I even taught a few mostly Steelheader clubs when I was on Cannon Pro staff. If you can afford the class, go. Learning new ways of fishing can't hurt.
