East Side, soaking cranks

Came out of the Sebewaing river to 14' of water and started trolling Bandits at 1.8 in 51 degree water.

Started slow and picked up a couple but when we kicked the speed up to 2.0, we seemed to do better.

After an hour and a half, we have 9.
The photos show baits that have caught at least 2.

Wind did down and so did the fishing - stuck on 12 and the last two fish were pike.

Great job! Last night we didn’t pick up a fish until I turned the trolling motor off and ran the main motor at 1.7-2.0 and then we picked up a few fish.

In with 13. When the wind died, the fishing died.
It was a really nice day on the Bay though!!

Great job and report Dale! :) The infamous 13 that we always avoid on the clicker. 😆😁

Went back out today only this time out of Quanicassee to 11' of 56 degree stained water. Ran my three way system with Bandits or Huskys with spoons at 2 mph.

Fished from 7 to 11 and ended up with 10 and all ten came on the spoons!

Stinger in blurazberry and a holospoon in purple tiger were best.

My buddy fishing crawlers in the same general area ended up with a 3 man.

Be back out tomorrow, just don't know where yet.

Thanks for report Dale! :) We ran over there and southend of slot from the mouth after getting boat to finally start(long story..lol). Only managed 3 keepers. Ran deep out east of bouy1, nada. There's a net out there in the usual spot. Then over the bar and into slot towards Sebewaing, only 3 keepers. Back over the bar downto the "no hump", picked up 4 quick then decided to head in. Long day and a good amount of running for a second shakedown. All fish but one (10 eyes and 3 perch, and 2 big white perch) on crawlers. Did run 2 various plastic on each side for most of day and only 1 avg keeper on a blue/silver, red lipped T-stick Jr. 1.3 mph speed.

Anything towards the north end of the slot? Thinking about coming across from augres. Can't seem to get a bite over here

Good information in your report. Thanks for sharing.

That statement sounds like you have some disdain for pike. Pretty good eating fish which I am sure Ralph would attest to. I know that I would.
Less pike=more perch!

Lake trout and catfish eat a lot of the perch as well as walleye. Heck they are food for about everything, lol

Bones are a pain in pike but they taste great

Anyone out there on the east side right now? The bay feels like it’s calling my name.

2 man limit. Tried the slot, pretty slow. Moved into 17 fow and had good action. All colors were good. 1.2 mph, harnesses.

Hit the slot at Sebewaing on the way north. It was a little slow for us. Ended with 4 in the box. 4 or 5 throw backs and lost a handful with my son's friend on rods. He's a noob. Ficker minnows and bouncers took bites. 1.8 seemed best.
