I usually don't fish down stream. There are exemptions to every rule. This trout was caught fishing downstream under all that CRAZY cover. What would you use and how would you battle the trout

Sink Tip (one of the express tips, Streamer Express works well), tungsten head streamer. Throw upstream, throw a mend, and then let your fly swing through the zone. It's called dredging, or don't throw the mend and go straight to swinging it through the zone. The main reason I throw the mend is take make sure the fly gets down to the proper depth. You could chuck your streamer right next to wood and strip it out.
