Ok, guys I was just wondering if any of you every trained or owned a dog that would follow a blood trail. to find wounded deer or other game. Mich law does allow this now. I had a GSP that was trained to follow blood and he was also a great bird dog
he was the one I posted that got killed opening day of bird season any way.

has any one or does any one have a dog with this great talent

I've never had one, but we called a guy this year that had a hound (walker maybe?) that would track your deer for you. My boyfriend lost a nice buck this year and we called the guy and come to find out someone had stolen his dog right out of his truck. Nobody else knew of anyone that had another one. We sure could of used one that day.

I'm in Mid Michigan and My lab does this. I never had to train her for it. Just let me know in the future, and if you are not WAY out of my way I will gladdly offer to bring her.
