Well it looks like it may be mange of some sort, it appears it is on her head and face too, if it is it is VERY itchy and she appears to be scratching with her hind foot which would account for the missing hair on her neck..an area she can reach. Also rubbing her face and head onto trees would be why the hair is missing from that area. I have seen dogs with it. They also have patchy areas in the same locations for the same reasons in addition to the rear end that they can reach with their mouths...not sure about the general body appearance, what do deer with chronic wasting disease look like? Because that one looks like she is wasting away.

none of the other deer in the area have this look. we have several hundred pictures/does fawns & bucks in the same location. Seems to be a little early for the coat to change?:confused:

I agree with the coat change over. While hunting I constantly see at least one deer that is switching coats while its 90 degrees out
