I decided to try to make my own small cultipacker to cover the gap left between the tires of my trusty Kubota.

I had to add weight to get it to pack right. Could also prob fill the tires with windshield wiper fluid at about a gallon per tire. 1 gal. = 8 lbs x 13 =104 lbs

You could have the tires chloride filled like they do for tractor tires. It would be heavier but not sure by how much.
When I was researching cultipacker's there was an optimum weight specified for best soil to seed contact. Memory says total weight of the unit should weight around 400# .
Very nice design.
Very cool. Gotta love those older Kubota's. What model is yours? I have an 87 model B700 4WD HST...I made my own cultipacker this year like you. Just posted it here yesterday...
