having a debate with someone about the distance you are allowed to discharge a rifle/handgun from a residence; is it 450 feet or yards. can't find my Hunting Guide.

Safety Zones are 450 feet or 150 yards of an occupied building dwelling,house,cabin,residence,or any barn or other building used in a farm operation. Without written permission of the owner. This is on page10 of the Hunting and Trapping Guide 2000.

To clarify - there is no safety zone required distance for discharging a gun - the only safety zone for hunting, and you may still hunt within that safety zone but you need permission of the owner/occupant.

I have noticed a lot of threads 'recommended for you' are old like this, must be this new system. I do remember the year 2000, I turned 21 that year, it was good!
