I noticed I am out of powder for the ML and I was thinking of switching from Pyrodex to Triple 7 - I've been told it's much easier to clean the gun after shooting that powder. Can I expect similar performance from the other powder? (Thompson Thunderhawk Inline, caps, not primers, 90 gr).

Thanks

If your not able to use the 209 primers that rules out Blackhorn 209. Yes I would use 777 over pyrodex. You still have to give the gun a good cleaning after using 777.

777 is much easier to clean up afterwards.
Also, you should expect slightly higher velocity using the 777 than with Pyrodex.
I would try a couple of shots before the season, though. See if you're still on target.
