I use a 18V Li-ion Brushless Makita XFD14Z ~1250lb -in torque for reference with my 6" mora and works pretty well. Granted its not a DeWalt, but something of the equivalent would work just as well. Burns through holes fast. On warmer days the 4aH would last all day with half life. on colder defiantly need a second battery if popping holes with a buddy. would recommend a 6aH battery if they weren't so expensive.
I'm running a 999 and it's great. Got a 60v battery now can't wait to try it this year with the extra power the 60v battery unlocks. Just ran it with a 20v battery last year. I've ran a 996 also and it was great.
