Down and around through Illinois is 18 hours from my door with gas stops, pulling a 28' trailer. I am in Washtenaw County. You have to time the Chicago area right or it is a drag !!

I'm in Southern Livingston County we leave around 3 AM for North East South Dakota and cruise through Chicago, now coming back just plain sucks. You can easily add 1-2 hours coming home. Can't wait for my wife to retire so we can just take our time going and coming places.
