I have been seeing lots of photos of REALLY dark fish on several sites (some look like spawned out mid October fish). I realize some early runners are half way to becoming boots by now; however, seems like a lot more dark fish than I usually see in early Sept. Last year I caught mostly crome in the 3rd week of September....any thoughts?

10 days and counting!

agreed, I haven't got a good chrome one yet, including harbor fishing. I did hook into 1 mid river but didn't land it last weekend.

Ther milling around thee pier heads and lakes too long, not cool enough water temps yet for huge migrations.

I have never caught such a high percentage of real dark fish in the big lake as I have this year.

That's probably true. We're supposed to get a little break in the waves tomorrow morning and I am not even looking down until I hit 250 foot and I am going to head NW from there.
