The cross **** is probaily the best spot anywhere for perch, but, you need a samll aluminum boat with a small outboard, and, you got to dodge the ice flows. I never been there, but, know alot of people that have.....i person(jstfish) went there last eyar, caught several over 15, and a 16 incher, i believe they got like 34 above 12.... its best very late ice, to jsut after ice out.

You gotta be a REAL DIE HARD to take your boat out in the river now! That's a treacherous river, especially with floes coming down it. I fish the dike after most of the ice is gone,, the dike is a great place to pick up the jumbos, but you'd be hard pressed to find a spot better than LSC, right now.

It should be vbery good right now, but, it won't get to peak for about 3 weeks, or 2 weeks. Another place you can get a 15+ or even a 16 inch perch is genos, lake simcoe, banna ****, brest bay, hubbard lake, and i'm sure there are other places, you just need to get lucky and have a hungry one cruise by your hole;) Acutally, you just need a boat with an outboard, i doubt you could get a boat over 18' in the river right now.
