Went out of Erie Metro 7 am jigged the river 1 hour no bumps. Went to cross dykes, cloudy water 3 jumbos in 4 hours. It was great to get the boat out. Headed to simcoe next weekend for one more ice fix.

the cross-dyke is a rock dyke that was built on the west side of the livingston channel.

it is a great place to fish....especially right after ice out for some JUMBO PERCH along with excellent catches of good size northern pike and an occasional walleye.

it is located on the east side of sugar island, near the southern part of the detroit river.

the easiest launch to use, IMO, is lake erie metropark on jefferson. you can also use elizabeth park, when it opens.
