I miss-typed the other day. I meant Crooked Lake. If anybody has any input on a successful outting I'm all ears. I'm new to the area and haven't had an opportunity to go bug people in the local baitshops.
I use to live up in that area. I recall a couple bait stores in Alanson. One right off of 31 called Young's should have decent info on Crooked. I never had much luck there. Use to do well on Pickerel lake up there for panfish and pike. If you like smelt & perch, give Walloon like a try sometime. If you're after walleye & perch, keep an eye on the Burt Lake reports and head east!
One block west of US31 on W. Conway rd, which is one block west of Crooked lake, is a party store that sells all the bait you'll need. If you need tackle then go to Young's in Alanson, otherwise go to the party store.
