No Sniper, I am an avid coyote hunter. Would never dream of taking such a highly illegal or cowardice idea and advocate that.
In your own yard???? I beg to differ....Out in the wilderness yes, in my backyard as the OP has shown, no way...If you have kids or smaller pets, you do what you have to protect your property. Period! In real life, you leave your Bambi persona at the door.

Actually I ordered a dozen legal snares and will set them around the carcass this weekend. Hoping to get a couple of yotes.

A guy I know uses that at stuff for *****, he mixes it with coke and he said he'll find the ***** within 10 feet...
Doubtful. Xylitol, though lethal to canines, is only marginally harmful to raccoons. More than likely he was employing Golden Malrin Fly Bait, which, so I hear, will cause *****, possums, and housecats to assume ambient temperature and be found the following morning but a short distance from the soda pop/flybait cocktail.

Since I have chronic problems with houseflies, I always keep a couple cans in stock.

Once again I will say that anyone advocating the use of poison on any of our states wildlife should be banned from the list.
For the record, I have never advocated poisoning wildlife.

And I have no clue what "list" you are talking about.

As to xylitol:
"Xylitol is well established as a life-threatening toxin to canines. According to the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center, the number of cases of xylitol toxicosis in canines has significantly increased since the first reports in 2002. Canines that have ingested foods containing xylitol (greater than 100 milligrams of xylitol consumed per kilogram of bodyweight) have presented with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which can be life-threatening. Low blood sugar can result in a loss of coordination, depression, collapse and seizures in as little as 30 minutes. Intake of doses of xylitol (greater than 500 – 1000 mg/kg bwt) has been implicated in liver failure in canines, which can be fatal. Possible cause of hypoglycemia experienced by canines is the fact that the xylitol in gum is released more slowly and absorbed over longer period than when it is consumed as a pure form."

If you use xylitol like I do, as an artificial sweetener, I would suggest precautions to keep it away from your dogs.

If you accidentally spill some Xylitol on the exposed meat, any canine that eats it is a goner. So be careful!

I bought a 5# bag of the stuff.

Overdew, I live over by 8 and Beck. Neighbors have had cats "disappear". I've seen yotes in my yard and their scat in various places nearby.
I find it disgusting that anyone on here would recommend poisoning wildlife.

What some would call it a drama queen others would call it the real thing. Sorry you can't say the same L&O. I will stop measuring you with my yard stick and start using yours.

Any killing tool is the right one in this particular case.

IMO. I DESPISE COYOTE!!! No quarter.

Pretty common at my place. Years ago when coyotes were just getting established I remember my mom running outside to chase off 2 Shepards off a fawn that was exhausted in the yard, they were yotes that didn't really want to leave. Happened almost yearly. I have a camera 30 yds from the house with all kinds of yote pics, I missed one in a cable restraint 30 yds from the house couple weeks ago cause he had half a turkey in its mouth and it wouldn't fit through the cable restraint. He left me the half a turkey. So far I'm 4 less yotes this yr and haven't had dead deer In the yard since I started trapping them.

I think we have discovered a couple of PITA undercover spies in our midst.

I'm partial to hot lead injections but any legal option is the right option. This post made me cringe seeing that girl piled up on the porch. Kill em all bud, kill em all

i agree totaly theres no place for yotes in your back yard and anybody that thinks different needs there head examed so what if your a yote hunter

That is crazy !! somewhat of a similar situation found behind our cabin turkey wings and hind quarters.. Watch your kids or animals if any out there.
Wouldn't of been my kids. They would have eaten the wings.

Agreed!!! If I find that at my back door the rules change. My family isn't gonna feel uncomfortable because some yotes think their dinner table is at my house. Call it what you want.

Jeez... if my wife came home to find a dead deer on the back porch. I know I'd be under orders to get the yotes gone ASAP, by whatever means are necessary.
