I had one come in to about 40 yards away 5 years ago near Lake Gogebic. I really wanted to take a picture but I was just sitting tucked under a cedar and my scope wasn’t coming off him for any reason. Was an awesome animal to see but I’d be okay with never seeing another that close. I wasn’t sure if I should yell or just freeze and hope he didn’t get any closer. It was in the morning on opening day so I decided against yelling but I definitely had to check my drawers after.I would have scat in my under britches if I saw one out in da woods.
