Does anyone know of any competition shooting clubs in the Mount Pleasant area for a kid around 11-12 years old?

4-H shooting sports has a large program here in Eaton county. There should be a Michigan State University Extension office in your county. Which is where our 4-H program is run out of......they should be able to steer you to the county Shooting Sports Leader. Also look up MYHEC( Michigan Youth Hunters Education Challenge)...EXCELLENT two day event where the kids compete as a team. The events are: 3-D archery, sporting clays, .22 rifle and muzzleloader, Wildlife ID, Hunters safety exam, Safety trail( set up by the DNR). and orineteering............

Hi,
My son use to shoot .22 competition there is a Gun Club in Ithaca, if you PM me and give me your phone number I'll have the president call you.

Also, Duncan's sporting goods in Saginaw has Riverside Shooting Club that shoots there Air Rifle, pistol and .22 ask for Glen he owns the place.

Both of these have youth shooting and rifles for them to use.
Your son will love it, it can get expensive but it does teach them a lot.

Cindy
