hey guys, i would like to hear any thing you guys know about catching coaster brook trout. i've been thinking about a trip up to the UP to search for this rare beast. porcupine mountains, pictured rocks, isle royale are places i've been thinking about.

Well one of the biggest stocking programs and I think longest is a nice size river in the Huron Mountains. University of Michigan has a research center right there as well. They have also planted with some success coaster in some of the real small streams in the Kewwanau Penninsula. I.E. Gratiot River. You probably can get some names from the DNR webstite.

A little longer drive would be up to the Nipigon, Cypress, and Steel rivers on the north side of Lake Superior in Canada. Little farther away with good populations. Let us know what you find out.
