I got a buck a couple weeks ago. Nothing big but still worth keeping the antlers. What is an easy way to get all the stuff off the bone? Right now I left it at Dad's house outside in a tree thinking the birds would pick it off, but they haven't touched it.

Get the hide off now, while somewhat fresh it peels right off. Knife and pliers is all you need. I like to make a cut under the burr to outer edge. Take a flathead screwdriver and work hide up around the burr, get a hold of it with pliers and it will peel completely around the burr and off the top of skull plate. When finished put some borax on it if you're going to mount and cover the skull plate. If not, boil it in Sodium Carbonate ;)

I boil mine but do it outside, It stinks big time. If you remove fur and brains 1st, rest will wipe off with cloth.
