After a few months of shopping for and asking around, I bought a Trius One Step clay thrower this weekend. It is a portable ground thrower that does not need to be staked or have external weights used to keep it in place. The cocking mechanism is provided by stepping on a lever, you could actually release the clay and shoot at the same time if you had to. We tried it out on Sunday and had great results. Three of us threw over 300 clays including doubles and it worked great, no more tired arm from cocking the spare tire mounted model. I am really impressed, it seems like a nice piece of equipment, well built, etc. If you are in the market check it out. The only place I could find it was at BPS in Auburn Hills.
