Hi everyone. I just got back from Midland fishing on the Chippewa river. Caught a 15" Sucker, he sure was fighter! Anyway, while I was fishing (I was fishing off a small road bridge) I saw some really big fish, 2 of them looked like Suckers at least 30" long but then I saw 2 other biguns that I though were Suckers until some guy fishing there told me they were Salmon? In the Chippewa river?? They were real dark looking, really sleek and long (at least 3 feet) and they were hanging around the Suckers (there were about 20 or so on the bottom there).
Does the Chippewa get Salmon around this time of year, or at all for that matter. I think whatever I saw though might just be big Pike.
