Nice! I clean and de-bug in a sink with salt water, rinse, and dry in salad spinner, lay flat in baggy and freeze the extra. If your knife wont cut through the base, neither will your teeth! Stick to tender parts. Simply cut into bite size, saute in butter, oil, some salt and will eat good. We did some mushroom soup last night with some chicks, hens and parasol. They hold up well, parasol disappeared. you'll be back at that tree next year! enjoy!

I just give them a quick rinse with the sink sprayer. I have never soaked any mushrooms in salt water. It takes the flavor out of them. Fry in butter and they taste like scrambled eggs. I also cut them in small pieces and use in recipes. Spaghetti sauce, chili, soups etc.
