This buck was shot in Ontario but local authorities learned that the deer was shot a half hour AFTER legal shooting hours and the deer was taken and fines were issued.

supossed to beat the world record by 41 points ,

This deer was shot near Dryden,Ontario (northwestern Ontario, about 3
hours east of Winnipeg) one half hour after legal time and seized by
OMNR. It is estimated that the rack scores 41 points over the world
record. It is an 18pt Whitetail.

It looks like it's true, here's the link to the pic w/ the DNR and brief story. For the record, someone posted the B&C scoring sheet of this buck and it scored 199 net Typical and 223 gross. Has 18 points and 11" in nontypical points. Beams are both 28", inside spread is 19 6/8" and all circumferences are over 7". The score sheet states the owner as MNR and states that is was siezed because of night hunting.

Huge buck, but no where near the world record even if it was taken legally. Too bad such a magnificint animal is taken by a poacher (2 americans)!

That forum cracked me up. I love that the one guy said that "the poachers should be shot with a ball of their own shi*". Ah sweet justice. What the heck is a chicken cannon?
