I have been wading, and catching alot of cats at the dam, using a 8'6 #8 flyrod, with spinning reel, but, I now have about 30lbs of fillets in freezer, and that is enough. Some of the guys wading have told me the walleyes will be better in the fall. I have only caught 1 keeper, with all the cats. anyone fish the dam in the fall?, or is it better to spend the fall on the res.?

Try after dark. 2 am-6 am. Throwing lipless cranks, husky jerks, thunder sticks . Start with glo n dark. Blue or black & silver or white. Fast retreive. Total darkness is ideal. If the walls are lit up with lanterns its a waste of time. I use #15 braid with duo-loc snaps no swivel. Check your line often. The zebras will cause it to shred. The eyes are in there year round. With the shallow water your odds are better in the dark. Good luck !
