I know this is late notice but I am thinking of fishing Cass Lake in Oakland county tomorrow possibly for some eyes with my brother and sister. I am usually fishing st. Clair right now but I'm taking a little detour i suppose for a minute. Any reports, tips, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Doing good out there.....stop by the store and I'll point you to the right spots on a map, and give you a few tips.

I'm only 10 minutes from the launch at Cass.

Cass Lake is CRAZY deep. Haven't fished it in a while, but I think I remember it being 160 ft in spots, with very steep dropoffs. I know there are some big fish in that lake. Dragging crawler harnesses with heavy bottom bouncers works well along the droppoffs, but they are hard to fish due to the depth. I would try jigging the dropoffs. Very nice lake, but get out early-it's known for heavy pleasure traffic.
