ok i know you cant hunt property in the city limits with a gun, but can i with a bow? i want to hunt a piece of property with a bow during gun season but 3/4 of it is in city limits. can i bow hunt it?

I think that answer may vary by city.

You have to check the city ordinances. In many cases, they are available online. Many cities classify a bow as a firearm under their ordinances. Some cities also specifically forbid all hunting within city limits.

Probably not...In some cities you cant even practice with your bow inside city limits....

wow great info guys i thought the dnr set these rules. thanks. if anyone has any info about owosso or chesaning let me know.

Best place is you local ordinances, Genesee county requires a 5 acre minimum..or something like that.

so who would enforce these local ordinances? the dnr or local police?
