Cabela's new fly fishing catolog

I received my 2004 Cabela's Fly Fishing catalog yesterday in the mail. I am very impressed with the new catalog, they now carry Sage rods, reels, and other Sage gear, Simms Vest's, Wader's, and other Simms gear. They are selling the Bladwin, Michigan made Harris Fly reels. Also they finally have some steelhead flies that are tied for Michigan waters such as Bears Hex, Pm caddis, one of Ray Schimidts fly's (cant remember which one) and several other proven flys for Michigan waters.

Actually the new gear they have, sounds like trouble for my savings account

sounds good steelslam let me know when you get home!!!
I got my spring catalog but not my fly fishing one. Probably best since I'm on the way to the post office to drop the bills in the box. It sure would be a shame if none of those checks were good when they got there.:D
Scott,

I received mine last week sometime. So many thing's in their that spells DOG HOUSE
I hear ya Dale! Those Simms Gor tex waders if you look close at them in the catalog they have my name on them!!! LOL!!!!:D
They definetly have upgraded their fly gear selection. Just remember a lot of Simm's gear and some of the other high end stuff, you can get at the local fly shops at the same price. They sure do make it look good in the catalogs though.
I received my Cabela's Spring catalog last week and the fly fishing catalog Tuesday. I agree that they have really upgraded their selection. I use the catalog for my "wish list" than go to local shops such as Great Lakes, Baldwin Bait and Tackle and Thornapple Outfitters to make most of my major purchases. I do buy some of my supplies through Cabela's though. Cabela's is discontinuing their 50 and 100 pack hooks so they had a sale on them when I was in Dundee last week. I didn't realize how many I had put in my basket until I was at the check out. Even discounted hooks add up quickly.

They have a lot more bases covered now. Clearly, they have some input about what is going here in Michigan.
